Taekwondo has been included an official sport event of the International School Sport Federation(ISF) Gymnasiade 2018 in Morocco.

The ISF Gymnasiade’s mission is to gather youth from 14 to 18 around the world, and educate about friendship and the spirit of fair play.
ISF Gymnasiade, whose main motto is “Education through sport”, will gather young students from all around the world to experience the spirit of international competition, fair play, friendship and cultural diversity. The first edition of the event was held in 1974 in Germany, and the 16th event was held in Turkey in July.
The ISF Gymnasiade 2018 will take place from 2 to 9, May 2018 for eight days in Marrakech, Morocco and the total of sixteen events will be held, including swimming, fencing, archery, and taekwondo.
The World Taekwondo President Chungwon Choue and ISF President Laurent Petrynka signed the MoU at the World Taekwondo office in Lausanne, and the two organizations share the same values to encourage young students from all of worlds to experience the spirit of sportsmanship and to enhance their health.
“Taekwondo teaches people the spirit of respect and consideration.” WT President Choue said. “We are delighted to have signed this MoU with the ISF to be able to deliver our taekwondo spirit to youth around the world.”
