China’s female team won a third consecutive champion title at the 2017 World Taekwondo Team Championships.
The Chinese female clinched a gold and Korea grabbed a silver at Abidjan’s Palais de Sports de Treichville on December 6.
In the female category final, China grabbed an early lead, increasing the gap by 11 points in Round 1. In the third, with just over a minute to go, Team Korea’s You-Jin Jang and 2017 World Championships gold medalist Ah-Reum Lee narrowed the gap to 42-42, but China marked the final minute, winning seven points. China had their successful title for the third consecutive year.
The Chinese female team previously won golds at the 2015 Mexico City and 2016 Baku Team Championships. They won all of contests in the 2017 team championships.
In the male category, Team Iran won gold.

In the final, Iran had been struggled against Russia until the last minute. But the Iranian hunters finally ended the uneasy game, 34-33, succeeding the last-five seconds counter attack. The male winners were also unbeaten in the championships.
In the nascent mixed-gender category, team china became the winner of the division.
In the semi-finals Team China beat Defending champions Team Korea, 54-43, and the Chinese defeated Team United State of America in the Golden Kicks round.
Both teams could not figure out the winner, ending the final round to 53-53. But China scored four points first and ended the finale. The Golden Kicks round winner shall be decided by scoring three points first.
